Customer Service Representative

Job Description
Interviews customers and opens accounts.  Cross-sells bank products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Interviews, sells, and opens bank accounts
  • Handles day-to-day teller transactions related to deposits and withdrawals
  • Makes telemarketing calls to expand business with existing clients
  • Responds to telephone requests and assists customers in resolving problems, such as balancing checking accounts or understanding bank charges
  • Maintains backup paperwork and mail correspondence as required
  • Balances cash drawer, branch and/or vault
  • Maintains supplies, performs filing and checks orders as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some banking experience
  • One to two years experience serving the public, preferably as a bank teller or closely related cash handling position
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy with numbers and attention to detail essential
