Commercial Lender
Job Description
Develops and maintains a commercial loan portfolio
to promote bank growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Processes commercial and industrial (C&I), construction, commercial mortgage and Small Business Administration (SBA) Loan underwriting documents for presentation to manager and loan committee
- Calls on customers, prospective borrowers and feeder sources
- Visits construction sites and meets with builders to confirm progress
- Maintains updated borrower/guarantor financial data to enhance cyclical loan review process
- Assists the loan closing administrator in loan closing functions
- Represents the Bank in various community and industry related activities
- Keeps abreast of trends and developments within banking and related industries, as well as economic and regulatory changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in credit analysis, commercial, construction mortgage and C&I lending required
- Must have proven success in prospecting and building relationships to enhance commercial loan opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal, sales and computer skills
