Teller

Job Description
Processes all branch customer transactions in an efficient and accurate manner. Cross-sell bank products and services. Tellers at Fairfield County Bank participate in the Certified Professional Teller Program, which offers the opportunity for enhanced knowledge and advancement early in your career with us.

Responsibilities

  • Processes customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and transfers
  • Balances drawer, branch and vault as required
  • Answers telephone inquiries with regard to rate information, and provides customers with balance information
  • Allows customers access to safe deposit boxes
  • Processes daily mail and completes deposit verification requests
  • Researches discrepancies in accounts and helps customers reconcile differences
  • Builds relationships with customers, and probes areas of need in an effort to sell additional products 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year experience serving the public, preferably in a cash handling  position
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail essential
