FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK
CORP. LAUNCHES NEW
"EXPRESS DEPOSIT" SERVICE
April 10, 2006 - Fairfield County Bank
Corp., which includes the Ridgefield Bank and Fairfield County Bank
divisions, has released a new business deposit system called
“Express Deposit”. Through the use of a desk top scanner and
integrated software businesses will be able to scan checks for
deposit in their offices and remit them electronically for credit to
their bank accounts.
This new technology, referred to as Remote Deposit Capture, is both
a bank and business benefit of the Check 21 Act, the 2004
legislation, which was designed to facilitate check truncation and
foster innovation in the check payment system. Fairfield County
Bank Corp. is one of the first community banks in the state to offer
the service. Express Deposit enables businesses to get their
deposits to the bank without having to go to a branch. This alone
can provide operational improvements for any business. To find out
more about Express Deposit, contact us at 203-431-7431 or toll-free
at 1-877-431-7431.
Founded
in 1871, Fairfield County Bank Corp., a billion dollar community
bank, operates 17 offices in
Darien, Fairfield, Georgetown, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Rowayton,
Westport and Wilton.
