Charity Coin Drive Benefits
Noroton Fire Department
September, 2005 - (Right) Richard
Siegal, Branch Manager of Fairfield County Bank’s Darien Office,
presents a donation check to Mike Vitti, Chief of the Noroton Fire
Department. The branch’s first charity coin drive was held on Sept.
16th and 17th where the Bank matched donations
made by anyone who had their change counted using the branch’s
self-service Change Exchange coin machine and then donated
their counted change for the benefit of the fire department. A
check in the amount of $2,685 was presented to Chief Vitti who
indicated that part of the funds will be used for building expansion
of the fire house. He said, “It’s great having our hometown bank
right next door to the firehouse. We have a terrific working
relationship with the bank.”
