FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK’S SECURITY ADVISOR TO GIVE CYBER SECURITY ESSENTIALS SEMINAR AT WILTON LIBRARY

Wilton, CT – March 2, 2018: Fairfield County Bank’ Security Advisor, Don McGran, is speaking on Cyber Security Essentials at the Wilton Library on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Protecting your identity and financials is extremely important as reporting of scams and identity theft continue to grow. Credit monitoring and credit freezing tools are a great start to securing your personal information. During the seminar, Mr. McGran will highlight ways to further protect yourself from cyber-attacks as the criminals are using sophisticated methods such as phishing, social engineering and data breaches to steal your personal information.

Don McGran retired as a Major after 30 years on the Ridgefield Police Department. In his tenure, he has worked countless fraud and larceny investigations. As the Security Advisor at Fairfield County Bank, Don trains all employees on fraud detection and prevention along with providing seminars to local businesses and non-profits. In 2017, Mr. McGran gave more than 60 presentations covering ATM skimming, identity theft, the latest scams, ways to protect yourself, and much more.
